Finding the Compass Direction on a Map

Display a compass on the map where rotating the compass will calculate
the compass direction, including the magnetic declination.

point and drag the line and click on the destination point to display
the bearing and magnetic declination.

Finding the Elevation on a Map

Computer: Right-click a location on the map to display the elevation.
Phone/tablet: Tap and hold to display the elevation.

Underwater Features (Seafloor maps)
To view and locate underwater features, use the Feature Names Gazetteer. Other online sources that might be useful for locating underwater features include GeoNames and ArcGIS Map Viewer.
Display Gridlines
To display the gridlines on a map (latitude, longitude, Equator, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, Arctic Circle, Antarctic Circle), use Google Earth (Web version: View - Show Gridlines/Google Earth Pro: View - Grid/Mobile app version: Tap the map style layer icon on the upper right and tap Gridlines).
